First PlayBox :)

Helloo my lovelies, Yes I’m back and this time not with some random post but rather a beauty unboxing which are alwayss exciting hehe recently I haven’t been able to blog regularly, which to be honest is making me mad to some extent. Maybe because this was something I found to be relaxing plus it made me happy and nowadays I find myself more stressed out again which isn’t a good thing. Anyways, before you run away I’m going to stop rambling. So here goes, my very ‘first’ PlayBox  by Sephora. Let me just say I’m more than happy 🙂 that I got onto this subscription. Lot of you are already familiar with the play box so I’m going to skip the usual intro but I’ll leave the link in case you ‘aren’t’ familiar with it. Fair enough?

The Products For This Month are:

Smashbox Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick (Full-Size $24)

It’s a matte liquid lipstick designed to last up to 8 hours, water resistance and a non-feathering formula.

Sephora loves Smashbox because their products are tested under bright lights and long photoshoots since Smashbox is not just a beauty brand but also legendary photography studios of LA.

It has a special triangular shaped applicator for easy precise application, just dab off the excess product, outline with the tip and fill them in with the larger end.

It feels great on the lips and it is very long lasting, I just made sure my lips had some lip balm before I applied the lipstick, so it doesn’t crack or over dry my lips.

The Estée Edit Flash Photo Gloss (Full-Size $20)

This is suppose to be innovative and high-shine gloss that has blue undertones that will make your teeth appear bright in selfies.

It is from Estee Lauder’s guest editor line of makeup and skincare. It’s clear so you can wear it alone or over your lipstick, it’s nice but was a bit sticky, I don’t wear lipglosses anymore and honestly if I was to buy this myself, I wouldn’t.

Oh, and don’t worry no dyes are used in this, and it has a nice scent, contains iridescent cool blue pearl, which creates the illusion of whiter lips.

Erborian Bamboo Crème Frappée Skin Reviving Fresh Gel (Full-Size $43)

A deeply moisturizing gel cream with frost, whipped texture so sinks effortlessly into skin to revive and refresh. Sounds so good, I’m excited about this… but have yet to try it.

So this fuses innovative Korean skincare with luxurious French scents aww! It’s a combination that is unique to Erborian,  which is the joint venture of a Korean cosmetic scientist and a beauty expert from Europe wow!

It’s great for a makeup base.

It uses Bamboo sap; rich in amino acids to hydrate and Bamboo fiber; proteins and lipids to maintain moisture

It just sounds so satisfying!

Farmacy Skin Dew Hydrating Essence Mist & Setting Spray (Full-Size $44)

This is a facial mist to freshen your skin, set makeup, and add moisture for a smooth skin.

You just spray it on whenever you feel you could use some, be it in the morning right after makeup, during makeup or middle of the day when our face starts to get dull.

Sephora loves this brand Farmacy for their plant-powered formulas that combine fresh botanicals with the latest scientific advances. It’s based in the framing communities upstate New York, thought you might like to know 🙂

I’m loving this description but sorry to break it to you I have not tried this yet, not even once but as soon as I do I’ll let you in on it.

Christophe Robin Regenerating Mask with Rare Prickly Pear Seed Oil (Full-Size $71)

A hair product… yass!  It is a sumptuous and full of antioxidants, this conditioning hair mask strengthens strands while enhancing color and shine. Oh la la… I think this is gonna be something (a treat) for my poor hair, definitely super excited about this, and you ‘know’ what it’s a nice size, not too small 🙂

Yves Saint Laurent Mon Paris (Full-Size $92)

Now we have our bonus… the perfume sample that comes in each box. How great is that? I think it’s amazing ‘seriously’ that they throw in a perfume sample besides their 5 products, lovely! and also helpful in a way.

So this month’s pick is one that’s inspired by a love for the sophistication and allure of Paris, the scent layers a fruity and floral notes over a musky base. Sounds like something you would prefer? Maybe you found your next favorite 🙂

Here’s the blend in case you’re wondering, it’s fruity-floral, and it’s top notes are Bergamot, pear, raspberry, strawberry. The middle notes are White datura, jasmine, citrus blossom. Base notes are musk, patchouli, ambroxan

And that my friends is the end of this unboxing and this blog, this was fun to do, hope you enjoy it and ‘if’ you don’t please do let me know what I can do differently in my unboxings to make them more appealing. On a real note, I’m super happy with this subscription; seems like it’ll be my monthly dose of excitement that I love love to share with you all. I know this one went up later than I wanted it to be up but hey it’s here now so enjoy!

    • The birch box is also a very popular one for the same price of $10 a month. However, Since I never purchased the Birch Box I can’t say what type of products you actually get from them whereas, compared to the sephora playbox you know you’ll be getting exciting new stuff and actually more higher end brands to try which is why I choose the playbox and I think I’m gonna stick with it. Hope that was somewhat helpful 🙂 xo
